Indian PokerStars faces local competition

On 17th of April PokerStars has launched its Indian reservation. Recent stats from MTT and cash traffic show that the room is on the 4th place in traffic, losing in position to local poker giants, although traffic is stable. Success indicators of the room are much lower than that of Indian rooms.

In the same time PokerStars has dropped MTT guarantees and removed Zoom.

The prerequisites of this low position of worldwide leader PokerStars could be seen even before the launch, when we were talking about preparations of the room to enter Indian market. Even then it was already evident that conditions planned to offer by PokerStars were quite far from those offered by large Indian players.
